Company description We are a first-generation goat dairy and cheese operation. Our herd numbers 150. We graze and browse our herd seasonally and milk year round. We are an Animal Welfare Approved farm. We produce artisanal goat and cow's milk cheeses from our own goat's milk and cow's milk from a local farm. Part time goat milker/herdsperson needed. Starting February 2020, looking for an individual to live on the farm and milk and help care for our herd of 150 milking goats. Some early mornings, some weekend shifts (5-7 shifts per week). We are flexible schedule. Experience a plus but enthusiasm and reliability a must! We will gladly train the right person. Must be able to work on feet for 3+ hour shift, lift 50 lbs, love goats, and live on premises. If it is full time work that you need, the farm work can be combined with hands-on cheesework.
