Job Description

At HVM, we sell every cut of meat generated by beef, lamb, and pork animals. This role will be responsible for growing sales for a subsection of our inventory through restaurants, fast-casual chains and institutional clients in the Northeast. You will be responsible for engaging clients, attending networking events, leading farm visits, promoting our brand, and closing key accounts for HVM's business. A key aspect of this role is maintaining inventory balance inline with what is naturally generated from an animal.

Qualifications

You will:

  • Identify and persuade the best restaurants across the northeast to source from HVM
  • Communicate with prospects persistently via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings
  • Create partnerships by helping restaurants achieve their goals
  • Achieve and consistently exceed quarterly sales and support goals
  • Maintain strong existing partnerships with our current restaurants
  • Develop best practices that are the foundation of this growing team
  • Act as an outward-facing ambassador of HVM’s beliefs, brand, and product
  • Support and inspire your team


You have:

  • Previous experience working in the food industry (e.g. Farming, Restaurants, Food Distribution, Retail)
  • A passion for sustainable meat, farming, food, and top restaurants
  • Strong familiarity using professional software and CRM tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Netsuite, etc.)
  • Good people skills. An ability to hustle, persuade, and convince restaurants of HVM's mission 
  • Coachability. Interest in getting feedback and dedication to consistent improvement
  • Enthusiastic about working with a small team that wears many hats in order to grow
  • Genuine curiosity about people and the restaurant business, good listening skills, and possess the innate ability to inspire passion in others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
