Job Description:
• Must have the ability to run the kitchen in the absence of Head Chef.
• Must be very hands on, this job is for a working assistant, not an administrator.
• Must have full knowledge of HAACP and Dept of Agriculture regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Quality control
• Food handling
• Filling in at different stations
• Inventory / Ordering
• The ability to assign work to staff
• Managing staff and knowing each ones duties
• Ability to follow recipes and to see that they are followed accordingly
• Assist in scheduling staff
• Daily food sampling
• Focus on profitability
• Increase productivity
• New item development
• Holiday event and menu planning
Requirements:
• At least 10 years work experience
• Must have supervisory / leadership positions
• Production cooking experience
• Banquet / Catering / Commissary experience a plus
