Job description

Regional Sales Manager
NZKS is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to develop foodservice sales of fresh whole fish, fillets, portions and smoked items, primarily under the Ora King brand. This is a home office position and requires regular travel (approximately 7 to 10 days per month) along with occasional weekend events and weekend travel.     
 

Sales and Market Development

  • Support existing Ora King distributors through product knowledge, getting new end-user customers and communication on new developments, activities and products.
  • Find and develop new distribution within the strategy and direction of the Vice President.
  • Research and develop target customer lists within the key metropolitan areas.
  • Develop a core customer base of influential chefs and enroll them in the Ora King Ambassador program
  • Find and develop new restaurant customers through cold calls, meetings, in-person tastings and follow up.
  • Increase brand awareness by increasing the number of brand listings on menus.
  • Support marketing activities and promotions.
  • Recommend, plan and organize trade events under direction of the Vice President and Marketing Department.
  • Support North America social media by providing relevant content.
  • Educate customers and be able to prepare product for tastings and presentations.   
  • Provide feedback, trends and competitor info from your local market.
  • Ensure that customers’ needs and requirements are communicated to the company and addressed in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts on an ongoing weekly basis for supply planners.
  • Be the key account manager for direct importer customers (accounts TBD).

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Thorough understanding of the foodservice industry
  • Excellent existing knowledge of prominent/influential chefs and restaurants
  • Culinary or Front of House industry experience preferred
  • Two years specialty/premium food or beverage sales, or comparable experience
