Good Rhythm Farm is a small vegetable farm located in Hurdle Mills, NC - 30 minutes outside of Chapel Hill and Durham. We are entering our second year of production and sell our produce via Tuesday evening and Saturday morning farmers markets, as well as a CSA program. We rent land at the Breeze Incubator Farm - where we share some spaces (storage, walk-ins, greenhouse, wash/pack) with other small farms.

We are looking for a part-time employee (avg. 30 hrs/week; M,T,W,F with some flexibility to work the occasional Sat. morning market). No work day will exceed 8 hours. 

You will be involved with all aspects of production on the farm - greenhouse management, bed prep, transplanting, cultivating, irrigating, harvesting, post-harvest handling, marketing, and maintenance. You’ll be working closely with Marge in daily operations and learning directly from her the ins and outs of running a small farm business.

This position will be responsible for working the Tuesday evening market (ends at 6pm, but the work day will end about 7:15pm) - setting up an appealing display, representing the farm, providing excellent customer service, tearing down, and unloading at the farm afterwards. You may be asked to use your own vehicle for market, and compensation for gas will be provided.

Vegetable farming does require the ability to stand, kneel, and squat for long periods, to lift 40 lbs, and to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Farm experience is a plus, but not required.
 

Compensation:
$10/hour (including lunch break), plus vegetables from the farm
