Company description Small intensive organic-based diverse farm on Martha's Vineyard.  We are entering our 25th year and are looking for hard working, healthy food inspired people who want to learn small scale farming in a beautiful environment.  Must be a team player! Job description We have a 10-acre intensive family farm located on Martha’s Vineyard and are in our 25th year of production.  Our crops include heirloom vegetables, salad greens, tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, laying hens and pastured poultry are also an integral part of our farm. 

We sell to local restaurants and two very busy farmers’ markets per week. We are located the up-island town of Chilmark, which is a rural part of the island near many walking/biking trails and a public beach. We have 2 full-time positions available for farm workers beginning in March or April and finishing in October.  

Must have good communication skills, be self-motivated, have a cheerful attitude and a keen sense of awareness. Past farming experience is required. Tractor/irrigation skills a plus. Workdays are full and diverse, 5 ½ days per week (up to 50 hours).  Duties include seeding, pruning, planting, weeding, harvesting, and processing salads, help with farm maintenance, deliveries, farmers’ markets, and animal care.  
Position pays $15 per hour plus bonus upon season completion. onsite rustic housing available for 8 hour weekly work exchange.
