Yay Lunch is a startup based in Virginia with the mission to provide healthy food for kids when they are away from home, beginning with school lunches. How? YL curates the best lunches from local vendors in each market, offers families the convenience of online ordering with simple subscription options, and delivers fresh lunches daily to kids’ schools. YL operates in 4 markets in Virginia (Charlottesville, Richmond, Virginia Beach, and Northern Virginia), with plans for significant expansion over the coming years.

We are Yay Lunch, a Charlottesville-based startup focused on providing healthier, tastier lunches to grade school students. Our mission is simple: make healthy school lunches from local restaurants easy, reliable, and cost-effective for parents.

We are growing in Charlottesville and looking for reliable Lunch Ambassadors to help us get lunches from our restaurant partners to our schools, Monday through Friday. We’re a startup which means our ambassadors are agile, outgoing, quick on their feet, and eternally positive. We’re building something new so the waters are uncertain but the potential for growth is huge.

You must be:

• Reliable, punctual, professional, and presentable
• A good communicator
• Outgoing, gregarious, personable, and social
• Able to lift and carry 30-50 lbs without assistance

You must have:

• Strong time management skills
• Strong verbal communication skills
• A smartphone
• A reliable, personal vehicle with proof of valid insurance

Schedule: approx. 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday (availability 9:30am - 12:30pm)

Compensation: $15.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement ($0.35/mile)
