DISTILLERY ASSISTANT

Coppersea Distilling is an award-winning farm distillery in New Paltz, NY. We produce whisky and brandy, grow corn and small grains, are establishing a pear orchard and raise pastured, heritage-breed pigs for pork. Initial duties will include:

-Bottling finished spirits

-Maintaining inventory of bottling supplies

-Cleaning and maintaining bottling equipment

-Cleaning stills/fermenters

-Milling grain

-Learning our malting, mashing and distilling procedures and techniques

-Occasional duties and chores related to our farm

-Occasionally representing the distillery at events

 

This is a rare opportunity to get involved with a prestigious distillery in a period of growth. Interest/experience in winemaking or homebrewing beneficial, but not required. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs., be physically/ethically comfortable working with pigs being raised for meat and have a clean driving record.
