Our passion is to provide the highest quality cut to order cheese counter with the most friendly and informed customer service in the city. This trust is established by providing a positive environment to learn about and taste our curated case of New World and European cheese, charcuterie, and groceries as well as providing made to order sandwiches and catering boards. Monger's Palate is looking for a part-time cheesemonger with weekend, evening, and holiday availability. Cheese and food service experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. 

We are a small team looking for a monger who is passionate about cheese and food education. The best fit is someone who has joy and patience to spare with every customer who comes into the shop no matter how small the purchase. A cheesemonger will be expected to participate in every task related to operating the shop. If you have a curious mind and love to work with your hands you will fit right in.  We believe that a compassionate and low-anxiety working environment benefits everyone. 


Requirements-
-Maintain the cleanliness and organization of shop and prep area
-Prep and pack-out items for the sales floor and sandwiches 
-Serve, communicate with, and educate customers
-Cut and wrap cheese and meat and service register
-Create sandwiches and catering trays
-Set-up/ break down of the shop 
-Communicate with the owner about issues and tasks 
-Stand for 8+ hour shifts 
-Lift and cut up to 50lbs
-Move quickly in a small space
-Use common sense to problem solve
-Pick great records out for the record player
