Job description

Freelance Catering Chefs

 

We are looking for capable freelance chefs with excellent cooking/organizational skills and a positive attitude.  If you love working with fast-growing companies then we want you!

 

Duties Include (But Not Limited To):

*Hands-on food preparation for catered events and meal delivery service

*Assist in set-up, organization and clean-up of food for catered events

*Assist in off-site kitchen set-up, food preparation, presentation and break down

*Work with Lead Catering Chef to ensure high-quality preparation and presentation of menus in a timely manner 

*General kitchen management (incl., updating prep lists, writing/updating recipes with Lead Catering Chef and Owner)

 

Qualification Requirements

*2+ years experience as a chef in preferably in high-volume, fine dining and/or luxury catering (incl., off-site catering)

*Professionally culinary trained desired

*Experience catering small and large gatherings in unique locations (from 20-300+)

*Detail oriented and highly organized

*Strong communication skills 

*Positive attitude, self-directed, creative thinker 

*Must be able to thrive in high intensity environments 

*Strong math skills 

*Comfortable with fluctuating priorities and new initiatives as they arise

*Must have a flexible schedule, willing to work some long days/some short days and weekends

*Must have food handlers card

*Reports directly to business owner 

*Great opportunity for chefs looking for extra hours! Compensation this position is : hourly, $20/hr + Application instructions
