Regional Business Controller

This position will be based in one of the following markets: Atlanta, GA; San Antonio, TX; San Francisco, CA; San Mateo, CA

We are looking for an exceptional Business Controller to join our growing team. While putting your attention to detail, accounting skills and spreadsheet building into action, you will also be able to be part of bringing the vision of our team and the client to life. In this partnership you will have the ability to help build tools to help us be bigger and better.
 

Position Summary:

This role reports to the Director of Finance with a subsequent line of responsibility to the Director of Operations. Responsible for communicating financial, operational and strategic business insight to Managers/supervisors; providing leadership and controls to assist in achieving scalability for rapid account growth, forecasting accuracy and quality objectives.


Principal Duties: 

  • Support Account Leadership in all aspects of financial management of the CUSTOMER account.
  • Provide feedback and analysis of financial and operation performance of the account to the Director of Operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidated reporting for the account according to GAAP and IFRS.
  • Manage account finance team including billing, payroll and all areas of local compliance.
  • Influence business decisions based on an understanding, analysis and interpretation of financial and non-financial information. Be proactive and predictive.
  • Continuously look for ways to drive improvements in account return on revenue
  • Lead budgeting, estimating and forecasting and monthly review of operations for the account.
  • Provide oversight of account finance team and functions and ensure compliance with Company policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Drive implementation of new compliance standards
  • Drive Cash Management for the account
  • Ensure Days Sales Outstanding is a constant focus by reviewing account receivables with respective managers.
  • Assist Operations in monitoring performance metrics throughout the month in order to correct issues and give Director of Finance advance notice of expected deviations from Budget/Forecast.
  • Prepare and deliver extensive financial presentations monthly for account leadership team.

 
Work Environment: 
This job is performed primarily in an office setting.

 

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Accounting or related field)
 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of financial management preferred
  • Experience at interfacing at all levels throughout an organization
  • Experience with job costing ERP system
  • Experience in service industry preferred.


Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with all levels within a client’s management structure.
  • Good team player and Manager
  • Able to command credibility and be able to influence
  • Analytical excel skills preferred
  • Passion for food & service and a desire to want to be part of an amazing and unique program
  • Be a partner and mentor to others
