Clean Market is a wellness space that encompasses innovative wellness services, a functional tonic bar, and a modern apothecary market. We’re on a mission to connect our community with products and services that elevate their health and overall wellbeing.
For our first commissary kitchen in New York we are redefining grab n go food. With a selection of salads, bowls, sides, snacks and breakfast items we are bringing a full menu to our two current New York City Clean Market locations.
The prep cook’s principal goal is to support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing the health and safety of the commissary kitchen, support in successful preparation of raw food material, presentation and production of finished products for sale, and timely delivery of Clean Market goods to multiple locations.
OPERATIONS
- Supports food production schedule in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager
- Supports organization and workflow in the commissary kitchen in partnership with the Kitchen Manager
- Maintains all DOH standards of the commissary kitchen
- Collaborates with the commissary team and Kitchen Manager to ensure timelines are met
- Maintains company standards of kitchen organization, prep and presentation
- Maintains and ensures quality control of all Clean Market goods
- Supports in management of all food prep, inventory and waste
- Basic cooking skills
- Supports in management of kitchen inventory
- Supports in seeing we are adhering to packaging standards
- Supports in stock-to-sales processes including receiving and preparing product
- Supports the execution of deliveries of Clean Market goods to multiple locations
- Supports with all other kitchen duties as directed by the Kitchen Manager

REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Preferably 1-2 years of food service or comparable experience
- Food Handlers Certificate

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Possesses strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to lift up to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
