Job description

Fresh Thymes is seeking a highly experienced General Manager/Operations Manager that is eager to put their proven experience in operations, leadership and entrepreneurial spirit to work in a complex farm to table business, overseeing the success of two locations. 

As General Manager, the ideal industry professional will be passionate about working with a farm to table scratch restaurant.  While we are a counter service restaurant, every part functions as a complex fine dining restaurant with respect to our integrity and cost of ingredients, as well as labor to produce in a scratch kitchen and depth of execution across multiple revenue streams.

The GM will be responsible for
overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training, execution and leadership necessary to achieve stated metrics of success in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.  You will be confident in providing support, commitment and training to the team in regards to strategy, policies, service, staff, and guests. You are an obsessive problem solver and have a passion for business performance. You are inspired to bring new ideas, and have experience in developing emerging business opportunities, implementing appropriate systems and overseeing its success. 

It’s also pretty important that you love the food you represent and hope you are as keen about high quality nourishing food as we are. You are also passionate about how to best treat employees (our most important customers!) and relate to our dedicated community.  You will be confident in how to cultivate an exciting, inviting and progressive restaurant environment through food, drink and service. You will be integral to growing our brand culture.

 

A lot of specific job responsibilities will be provided upon request.  
Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3 years of General Management experience in a full service dining and/or casual upscale restaurant setting
  • Familiarity and proven communication protocol with restaurant operations; COMMUNICATION that is exhaustive, and equally persuasive verbally and written
  • Possess excellent basic financial skills; MASTERY of P&L, line by line, capable of generating and interpreting financial reporting
  • Working knowledge of POS/Revel, Scheduling Software, (Hotschedules) Excel (spreadsheets), and Google Suite. 
  • ServSafe certified and TIPS certified
