Company description Here at Understory Farm we grow 3 acres of specialty cut flowers in the Champlain Valley of Vermont. We use a combination of draft horses, tractors and hand tools to sustainably produce over 50 different varieties of cut flowers for sale to wholesalers, local florist, grocery stores, farmers market and our own wedding and event floral design. We believe flowers bring beauty to our community, empower creativity and help tell the story of local agriculture. Job description We are currently seeking individuals who have a passion for flowers and farming! If your someone who loves flowers, farming flowers, designing with flowers and selling flowers than we have a job for you.

This job is diverse and includes seeding, transplanting, weeding, pinching, mowing, bucket washing, lots of harvesting and floral design for weddings plus farmers market and grocery store bouquets.

Qualified applicants ideally have some farming experience or some floral design experience(but we are more than willing to train the right person with a passion to learn), good communication skills, willingness to work both independently and as a team, have a positive attitude, can work early mornings, ability to take direction, ask for help/clarity, and accept constructive feedback on work. For all jobs you must be able to lift 50lbs, have a drivers liscense, have an attention to detail and willingness to work outside in most weather conditions.
