The 750-acre Hancock Shaker Village operates as a living-history museum open to the public with 20 authentic Shaker buildings, rich collections of Shaker furniture and artifacts in rotating exhibits, a full schedule of activities and workshops, a mile-long hiking trail and picnic areas, store and cafe, and a working farm with extensive gardens and heritage-breed livestock.

Farming has been at the heart of Hancock Shaker Village for over 200 years. Job description

Hancock Shaker Village is looking for hard-working and energetic staff to work alongside our CSA manager and our livestock manager. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience operating a successful production garden at the heart of a public historic site and expand your knowledge of sustainable agriculture.  Qualifications: applicants should have experience farming or gardening; demonstrated ability to take direction and work both independently and as part of a team; success working in a dynamic environment; be able to lift at 50 lbs., and a willingness to work hard in all types of weather. Position is seasonal April – October, Tuesday – Saturday.
