Job description

Seeking Graphic Designer for Kiss the Ground

 

Kiss the Ground is a 501(c)3 increasing societal awareness about the extraordinary benefits of healthy soil. We educate millions of people across the globe and provide pathways for everyone to participate in the movement. Through our Leadership and Farmland programs we directly support farmers and their adoption of regenerative agriculture and cultivate leaders who can implement change at a community level and within the key sectors of business, policy, media, and education. We also create inspiring media, strong partnerships, and shift policy. 

 

We seek an inspired individual that is connected to our mission of  inspiring participation in soil regeneration. A designer that wants to help us do the important work we do.  

 

Required competencies:

• Proficient in InDesign and Photoshop
• Flair for creative direction and concept creation
• Ability to create both offline and online applications
• Ability to follow a style guide and add own creativity within the guidelines (Kiss the Ground style guide) 
• Ability to proof-read work and maintain quality and consistency
• Experience working autonomously and have ability to meet deadlines, track budget/hours
• Demonstrable sense of social responsibility (show other socially responsible work)
•  A plus if you're comfortable with Wordpress, video editing and social media savvy

 

Types of projects you’ll work on:

• Promotional materials including flyers and posters 
• Invites and signage for events
• One-sheets (general and program specific)
• Presentation decks for courses and public speaking 
• Pitch decks for fundraising
• Annual report
• Infographics 
• Workbook (part of curriculum for education courses)
• Toolkits (link to example)
• Bi-annual magazine for members (link to example)

 

Estimated hours: We estimate the position requiring 20 hours per week but will revisit and adjust as needed based on actual flow and demand. 

 

Length of employment: Our intention is this person does all of Kiss the Ground’s graphic design work moving forward and becomes a part of the core team.

 

Rate of pay: We are looking for competitive non profit pricing that also is commensurate with your experience.
