Phoenix Fruit Farm is hiring! We’re looking for a chef who is passionate about making delicious food with local ingredients, who has a solid background in commercial kitchen work. This is a part-time position, about 30 hours/week to start, with the potential to become full-time. Pay rate will be commensurate with experience. 3 professional references and a resume must be provided.
 

Job Responsibilities:

-Preparing baked goods, lunch items, and entrées for our farm store

-ordering and restocking kitchen supplies as needed

-Keeping kitchen organized and clean

-observing and enforcing sanitation practices, as outlined by Servsafe

-being able to operate all kitchen equipment

-supervising up to 2 kitchen helpers, using their time efficiently

-adequate physical fitness for being on foot all day, doing moderate lifting, kneeling, and general kitchen hustle

 

Requirements:

-at least four years commercial kitchen experience

-at least two years supervisory experience

-valid driver’s license

-servsafe certification

-ability to make delicious foods in a commercial setting

-ability to supervise others effectively and efficiently

-ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
