An established co-packer in the Hudson Valley is seeking a full-time, experienced Quality Manager to lead our Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs. We are a fast-paced company that manufactures a wide range of food items from regional farms and specialty food companies. 

The QA Manager will assure compliance with USDA, FDA, FSMA regulations, Sanitary Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, SQF, Kosher, Organic and other related, applicable food safety guidelines, and regulations.  The Quality Manager will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with the production team.  We are seeking an individual who will help us continue to produce award winning products for ourselves and customers. 

As a member of the executive team, the Quality Manager will play an integral role in the direction and growth of the company. 

Scope of Work

  • Develop, organize and supervise all aspects of quality and food safety programs. 
  • Develop, organize and supervise all aspects of daily, monthly and annual internal workplace safety trainings. 
  • Lead HACCP, FSMA, SQF, Food Safety and Safety Defense teams. 
  • Supervise, host or conduct all internal and external audits. 
  • Supervise and conduct regulatory mock recalls to meet compliance standards. 
  • Supervise and conduct regular product and part checks to ensure compliance and standards are being met. 
  • Manage all documentation necessary for regulatory inspections, submissions and audits. 
  • Manage all internal documentation for operations compliance; vendor, receiving and shipping. 
  • Develop, organize and supervise all aspects of the corrective action register. 
  • Document, investigate and respond to customer complaints as needed. 
  • Consistent study on industry standards and quality related issues. 

Qualifications 

  • Expert analytical skills to identify anomalies in products. 
  • Experience leading, training and developing multiple teams
  • Detailed oriented with experience in record keeping 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent certification
  • Professional GMP and personnel practice in food processing industry required
  • Experience dealing with Food Safety Regulatory authorities required
  • HACCP and FSMA certification preferred 
  • Experienced, certified SQF practitioner preferred 

Salary: $45,000-$65,000 + Bonus
