Job description We are seeking an individual to be the Delivery Assistant on our NYC distribution routes.  This is a physical role that requires attention to detail, logistical savvy, and quick thinking on the job.  We are looking for a candidate who can communicate clearly, operate our vehicles safely, and problem-solve in the midst of busy workdays.

The Delivery Assistant will be responsible for two weekly delivery routes within the city.  They will share responsibility with our Delivery Lead for driving duties and passenger duties.

The schedule includes shifts on Mondays and Thursdays, starting in Bushwick around 6:00am and ending at about 12pm.  There is the opportunity for additional hours if the candidate is interested.

• Capable of driving a 18-ft or larger box truck in NYC
• Capable of lifting 50 lb boxes
• More than capable of early mornings
• Ready to engage with the physical as well as mental challenges that are common in this line of work.

Please note that due to COVID-19 we have a NO-CONTACT delivery policy. We are not entering our customers' facilities when we make deliveries, and we are minimizing or eliminating contact with our customers' staff.  We provide masks, gloves, and disinfectant wipes to all of our drivers.  At our own warehouse, we have strict disinfecting protocol in place.
