Job description

Responsible for all aspects of store management, managing operational processes, staffing, training, & maintaining the store to attract & retain guests, create a positive environment for staff, with efficient operations, high productivity & accountability. Follow all franchisor operating standards after training. Order product, manage inventory, pricing & managing stock in the POS. Plan, communicate, and execute seasonal in-store sales promotions & events. Coordinate participation in local events to promote the store as well as via local print, electronic & social marketing media. Desire someone with passion for culinary arts, fine cuisine, nutrition, wellness, spices and teas as well as a minimum 3-5 years demonstrated retail operations management (Manager or Assistant Manager) with proven experience in attracting, developing and retaining staff.

Required:

  • Open availability of 40 to 50 hours/week, including nights and weekends
  • Strong selling experience required with the proven ability to meet or exceed performance standards
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills to manage a fast-paced environment with many moving parts with ability to multi-task &make; sound decisions quickly
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills as a seasoned people-oriented manager
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required with strong attention to detail
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel, and ability to read and understand a P&L
  • Strong work ethic & personal integrity.  Must pass a background check.

Job physical requirements:

  • Consistently operate kitchen tools on a regular basis in preparing daily blends.
  • Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor & stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, ascending/descending, reaching, and lifting to stock & merchandise store
  • Must be able to stand & walk about the store 95% of the time to assist guests with their shopping experience
  • Frequently move product weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the store
