Seeking an operations manager!

 

As Kneaded Bakery is a woman-founded and operated artisan bread bakery in San Leandro. 

We are looking for a versatile and reliable operations manager to help keep our systems running smoothly. This position will be 50% administrative work, and 50% working in retail, delivery, and other in-person, manual aspects of the bakery. 

The operations manager will work out of the San Leandro office, production facility, as well as off site all around the Bay Area. The position is full time and salaried—compensation is commensurate with experience. We are looking for a dedicated person, ready to roll up their sleeves and help in this on-call role. 

 

Primary duties

  • Create and maintain guides for new procedures, communicate clearly to staff
  • Help owner make informed, data driven business decisions 
  • Manage fleet of delivery drivers to collect daily reports and ensure clear communication
  • Help streamline delivery process including route, vehicle maintenance, and systems
  • Onboard and maintain wholesale vendor relationships via email and online platforms
  • Manage retail staffing and ensure each shift has what they need to complete their role 
  • Liaise with farmers market staff with necessary updates 
  • Fill in for retail, farmers market, and delivery shifts when needed

  • Possesses a positive, professional demeanor, with a can do attitude
  • Approachable and customer service focused
  • Working understanding of Google suite, excel and comfort learning other management platforms (staffing management, Square, vendor portals, etc)
  • Ability to help problem solve a variety of systems issues (IT, maintenance, vehicle, etc) 
  • Self-starter attitude and motivation to create smooth operational process when needed 
  • Management experience of a small team
