Company description We are a closed-loop, sustainable livestock farm in Hopewell, NJ, raising sheep, cattle, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys, and ducks. Our animals are rotationally-grazed on pasture and raised in woodlots. The ruminants have a 100% grass-fed diet and our hogs and poultry supplement their diet with a locally-grown GMO-free feed. We have one of the few on-farm processing facilities in the country. We also have 30 acres under cultivation for produce. What we raise and grow is sold at our market, Brick Farm Market and fine-dining restaurant, Brick Farm Tavern, in Hopewell, NJ. Job description The Livestock Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day handling of the sheep or poultry, to include the daily care, well-being, and pasture rotation/feeding of the animals. Duties also include maintenance of fields, equipment, and fences, and interacting with the Farm Manager on daily and weekly tasks. We are looking for someone with approx. 2 years livestock experience who is passionate about farming and knows how to use basic farm equipment (tractors, etc...). This person must be proactive and take pride in anticipating the animals needs, keeping the animals healthy, and keeping the farm in good order.
