La Coquille/Coquille Pantry|Bar is a neighborhood upmarket French dining and retail experience serving house made pastries, baked goods, and gourmet meals to dine in restaurant guests and to go eatery patrons. Located in Manhasset, Long Island, NY, we collaborate with small batch local farmers to bring their sustainable fields to our tables. We are a modern farmed kitchen that focuses on positive planting and positive people to create a high vibe, enjoyed experience both in and out of our kitchen.
Job descriptionCandidate must have a minimum of (2) two years high volume, fast paced professional pastry and baking experience. Good math skills to volume up recipes, knowledge of units of measurement, ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and directions, knowledge of ingredient substitution, and have the desire to cross train and work with other production teams. Must have NYS food handler’s certificate (or be willing to acquire) and knowledge and solid practice of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. Must have good knife skills and basic knowledge of operating kitchen equipment.
