Job description

Savory Prep Cook

Looking for a savory prep cook to prep our daily to-go sandwiches and salads for display cases, prep soups as well as prep all breakfast sandwiches and heat to order. Also prepares pizzas and other savory options for dry pastry case or heat and serve. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, with the availability to work quickly and precisely. Must be willing to work holidays and weekends. Full-time, year-round position. Opportunities to create new menu items and expand savory offerings. 


Duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for savory production on all sandwiches, soups, salads, to-go entrees, and pizzas, maintaining proper par levels on all items
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area 
  • Manage and record station waste by following proper pars for day/ season 
  • Run breakfast and lunch service keeping order times within 7-10 minutes
  • Communicate with FOH on levels of items, vocalize when down to final 6/2/0 servings of an item
  • Communicate with BOH on levels of prepared items, vocalize when down to final 6/2/0 servings of an item
  • Communicate with next shift any urgent prep and low or 86d items
  • Ask for assistance when order times exceed 8 minutes or more than 5 orders are on dock 
  • Assist in opening and closing of savory station/ kitchen
  • Must be able to work early mornings and weekends

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience. ServSafe certification a plus. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 #  
  • Must have the ability to read and follow recipes and standards charts
  • Must be able to work early mornings and weekends
  • Detail oriented, good communication skills, and excellent time management and organizational skills 
Compensation this position is : hourly, $15-20/hr Application instructions
