We operate a bustling coffee house serving breakfast, lunch, and musical events.  We are looking for an experienced, professional Barista to be our Lead Barista and Front House Manager. Three years of Barista experience and one year management experience is preferred.  We offer very competitive pay /living wages and benefits. We also offer relocation/housing assistance.  

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all barista daily activities
• Oversee and create an exceptional guest experience including guest service and resolving issues
• Ensure a high quality of coffee brewing techniques
• Train and manage baristas on Mad River Coffee brewing procedures, consistency of drinks, drink design, and creation of new drinks and specials
• Develop a pour over program or other trending coffee techniques
• Train baristas in wine, beer, and alcoholic drink creation and knowledge
• Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist in keeping coffee stocked and rotated

• Merchandising font case and gondola
• Place paper good orders

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service, bar service or other related fields
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and communication skills
