Do you love cheese? We do! Gary's Wine and Marketplace in Wayne, an upscale wine and gourmet shop, is looking for a gourmet staff member to work at our deli and cheese counter. Good communication skills and a love of fine foods, cheese and wine a plus! Will train, flexible hours.

Description:

The Gourmet Team works most closely with our customers. This person knows items sold in the Gourmet Department and how to pair them with wine, beer and spirits. The Gourmet Staff assists guests in the selection of items for gift baskets. Members of the Gourmet Team report to the Gourmet Manager.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

*Using a thorough knowledge of our gourmet items, assist guests in the selection and pairing of cheeses with wine, beer and spirits

*Assist guests with the selection of gourmet items for gift baskets

*Keep abreast of knowledge and trends in gourmet items.

*Ensuring the rotation of gourmet stock and removing expired items from shelves and displays.

*Keep sampling stations well stocked and maintained.

Job Requirements:

*A strong sense of customer service

*Ability to lift 40 lbs.

*Basic computer skills

Retail hours include working on weekends, some nights and holidays so applicants should have a flexible schedule.
