Job description

The Kombucha Shop is on the lookout for an organized, positive, fast-paced, and detail-oriented Fulfillment Coordinator to join our team at our Madison, WI headquarters. This is a full time position (Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm) with pay starting at $17/hour and opportunity for advancement. The position includes a paid 35-minute lunch, a paid 15-minute break, 8 paid holidays, and a $50 monthly wellness reimbursement. 

 

Mission: 

The mission of this position is to process, pack, and ship all customer orders to the highest degree of quality within 1-2 business days, all while maintaining a clean, organized, efficient, and positive working environment.

 

The position is fast-paced, and requires the ability to balance a number of priorities under a shipping deadline that refreshes daily. It requires the ability to communicate the day’s packing goals to the team, and organize individual and team tasks to meet the daily deadline. Attention to detail, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to remain calm under pressure are all traits well-suited to this position. An average day will consist of processing and packing orders, and may also include packing products on the line, customer service emails, receiving inventory, harvesting kombucha cultures, cleaning, and maintaining equipment as needed. 

 

Job Responsibilities and Working Conditions: 

  • Determine daily shipping priorities
  • Print packing slips and labels
  • Navigate Amazon, Shopify, Gmail, and G Suite
  • Package orders to the highest degree of quality 
  • Coordinate the packaging of orders by fellow team members
  • Weigh orders and input weight, dimensions, and package style into Shipstation
  • Compare shipping providers and assign a service 
  • Ensure all orders go out in a timely fashion
  • Communicate with USPS/FedEx drivers as needed
  • Maintain a well-stocked, organized, and clean pick & pack area and fulfillment station
  • Clean and maintain equipment and inventory
  • Receive deliveries and unload products
  • Operate pallet jack
  • Use box cutters
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day
  • Work in a hot, cold, and occasionally loud environment 
  • Perform daily tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures
