Element Farms is looking for enthusiastic Greenhouse Packing Associates who are committed to bringing pesticide-free, safe, sustainable and local greens to more people throughout the tristate area. In our high-tech greenhouse in Lafayette, NJ, we use automation and custom machinery to successfully grow in-demand crops like baby spinach, arugula, pea shoots, and more. We need *your* help to pack them!

 

The Role:

The Greenhouse Packing Associate plays a crucial role in greenhouse operations and in serving our customers by helping us grow, harvest, and pack our tasty greens. Duties may include using machinery to harvest greens, hand-packing clamshells, tracking and packing weekly retail orders, operating the autonomous labeling line, keeping food safety records, generating invoices, moving plants around the greenhouse, and more.


Previous experience:

While no prior greenhouse experience is necessary, some background in manufacturing, warehouse work, food service, or agriculture may be helpful. Element Farms is committed to on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable way to get to work
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand for large portions of the day


Necessary Availability:

Normal operations are 8 am - 6:30 pm, 6 days per week (Monday-Saturday). At least a five day a week commitment preferred.

Looking for part-time work? Consistent morning and afternoon shifts available.


Compensation:

$12/hr
