The Summit Cheese Shoppe is an artisanal cheese and sandwich shop, (re) opened in July 2020, in downtown Summit, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

Daily Responsibilities:

• Providing knowledgeable cut-to-order cheese and charcuterie service
• Unloading and receiving deliveries of cheese and specialty food
• Organizing and maintaining meticulously clean cases and countertops.
• Maintaining the highest level of food safety and sanitation
• Providing above and beyond excellent customer service
• Assisting Manager with cheese-related product ordering

Requirements:

• Available weekends (Fri-Sun). 
• Part-time (25 hours)*
• 1+ years retail experience
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service
• A diligent approach to safety and sanitation.
• A team player with a willingness to jump in and help with all tasks.
• A self-starter and hard worker. Working knowledge of specialty cheese and meat OR a willingness to learn
• Ability to spend 8+ hours standing
• *Possibility for full time in future

Compensation Details: 

• Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour pending experience

Schedule:

• Days: Tuesday-Sunday
• Must be Available: Weekends & Some Holidays

COVID-19 Considerations: We are planning to take steps to protect the health of our staff and customers:

• Staff and employees are required to wear masks (provided) at all times.
• Only 4 customers will be permitted in the store at a time.
• Customers must form a socially-distanced line while in shop
• Plexi glass is installed to create a barrier between employees and customers
• All employees will be temperature checked daily upon beginning their shift
