The Skinny Pancake is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our admin team. We are a mission-driven restaurant group with plans to grow our company regionally. With multiple locations across the state, nearly 200 employees and ongoing growth, it all adds up to a whole lot of action, and a whole lot of need for bookkeeping help! The right individual for this position will work closely with our leadership team across the ranks and each location. We offer the opportunity for remote work, as well as a quality office space. Even with remote opportunities, we’d like for candidates to be located within striking distance of our Burlington office. 

 

You Are:

-A bookkeeper with relevant experience

-Simultaneously detail-oriented and capable of seeing the bigger picture

-A collaborative and helpful individual excited to work with a restaurant team.

-A lover of all things local: local food, music, arts, culture, and community.


Responsibilities will include:

-Accounts payable processing

-Complete vendor payments timely

-Verify accurate expense coding

-Ensure proper cost center allocation

-Reconcile vendor invoices/statements

-Manage daily cash balances

-Ensure that deposits have properly posted to accounts

-Identify cash needs in a timely manner

-Process Meals & Rooms and Sales & Use Tax

-Reconcile/record sales

-Ensure proper sales tax has been collected

-File reports and make payments timely

-Assist with the coordination of bi-weekly payroll

-Ensure that reporting is delivered timely

-Review tip pooling to ensure proper reporting

-Record payroll ensuring proper cost center allocation

-Account reconciliation

-Reconcile bank accounts

-Reconcile credit cards ensuring proper coding and documentation

 

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

-At least 2 years' experience in accounting/bookkeeping

-Experience in restaurants/food & beverage preferred

-Strong organizational and task management skills

-Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office required
