Job description
We’re looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join our small, hungry team. In this role, you will work closely with our head of Merchandising and assist with product research and procurement, inventory management, and coordinate with the marketing/content teams. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoys learning. Oh, and you’re passionate about artisanal foods and love to taste things on little wooden spoons! 
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Help plan and maintain merchandising calendar, and coordinate deadlines across departments.
Research new products, vendors and project manage samples, team tastings and notes.
Work with the Purchasing team to communicate product requests, maker and product onboarding, product inventory, timing, expiration dates, and related issues.
Work cross functionally with marketing and creative teams to coordinate products and inventory for photo shoots, project manage monthly in-box collateral, review inventory needed for marketing emails, etc.
Assist with vendor onboarding, vendor requests and follow up with external partners for documentation needed
Assist with and coordinate product launches, including product page building, art and copy tracking and nutrition information and tagging. 
Maintain a database of makers, sell sheets, contact information, product photography requests, and ingredients 
Organize office product samples
Help monitor, analyze and report on sales trends
Work on seasonal projects and vertical expansion projects
 

REQUIREMENTS
You have experience in and great interest in food and CPGs
You are great at Project Management
You’re thorough and organized, with stellar attention to detail
You are a goal-driven, solution-oriented problem solver
You are a resourceful self-starter with a strong work ethic
You can handle multiple projects and competing priorities
You can work across multiple departments and with external partners
You are hyper communicative and aren't afraid to ask questions
Bonus points for prior experience in eCommerce and back-end platforms
