At Plowshare, we live in extended family households that include people with developmental challenges, yearlong service volunteers, coworkers, and often children. People who demonstrate qualities of leadership and presence take responsibility for a household and also carry a craft (such as farming, gardening, handcrafts, pottery, baking, etc).

We invite inquiries from people who have the experience to step directly into these responsibilities, and also from younger people who hope to grow into them.

Plowshare Farm respects and values family life. We offer a balanced lifestyle including meaningful work, time for oneself, generous vacation time (6 weeks per year), health care, a contribution toward Waldorf School tuition, compensation and retirement. We also offer training in Social Therapy through the Camphill Academy.

Plowshare Farm is nestled in the woods of southern New Hampshire where there are thriving Waldorf Schools, adult education opportunities, an active Anthroposophical Society, and a beautiful natural environment. We are an hour and a half northwest of Boston.
