Company description FORA is a growing network of foundations, individual donors, and investors dedicated to advancing land management practices that support people and planet. FORA’s member organizations represent land stewards, researchers, storytellers, strategists, holistic managers, community leaders, organizers, and advocates.

FORA is an Allied Initiative of the Global Alliance for the Future Food (GA), along with sister Allied Initiative, Transformational Investing in Food Systems (TIFS).

FORA’s core work focuses on pursuing strategic initiatives in a deeply collaborative way. Currently, FORA’s activity is primarily channeled through its Working Groups, which include Strategic Communications; U.S. Policy; and PEER, a COVID-19 response fund that prioritizes Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) groups. FORA also provides pathways for introductory learning and connections for funders and investors newly interested in this space. Job description Reporting to the Global Alliance Executive Director and the Steering Committee of FORA, the Executive Director Consultant will be responsible for spearheading the next chapter of FORA’s development. The Executive Director will oversee and work in partnership with FORA’s Managing Director to lead FORA’s day-to-day work, including creating and executing on the initiative’s strategic work plan, engaging members, and advancing Working Group activity. With support from FORA’s Managing Director and Steering Committee, the Executive Director will uphold and further FORA’s collaborative, impact-driven culture; engage and inspire members to take collective action; and invite new and different funders to the field of regenerative agriculture.

- Strong understanding of the impacts of, opportunities in, and barriers to the adoption of regenerative agriculture
- Commitment to integrating equity and justice as core components of regenerative agriculture
- Ability to foster collaboration among a diverse group of funder-members
- Strong communication and promotional skills, including the capacity to engage with and recruit additional investors and donors to the initiative
- The capacity to inspire passion for the initiative and its mission - High tolerance for complexity
- Ability to work closely with FORA’s existing Managing Director and Steering Committee
- A deep commitment to the mission, values, and strategic goals of FORA
- An equally strong commitment to the GA’s mission, principles, values, and strategic priorities. Compensation this position is : hourly, $20/hr + Location job can be done remotely Application instructions
