Local Food Share Program Manager GoFarm

  • Date Posted October 13, 2020
  • Location Golden, CO
  • Category Agriculture / Nonprofit
  • Job type Full-Time
Company description

GoFarm is a nonprofit organization with a mission to increase the supply of and access to affordable, fresh, healthy, local food in Colorado. GoFarm fulfills its mission through the implementation of three programs: Local Food Share, Community Food Access, and Farmer Assistance.

The Local Food Share program (LFS) works with over 29 farms to operate a 20 week, multi- farm, Community Supported Agriculture program - or CSA - where community members get a weekly or biweekly share of local, sustainably-grown food. Participants pick up their food each week from one of our four locations, where we set up a food market display with tents, tables and produce displays. These distribution locations are located throughout Jefferson County in Golden, Arvada, and Evergreen. The Community Food Access program (CFA) cultivates food equity by hosting affordable pop-up food markets selling local, healthy food in limited- resourced communities. Lastly, the Farmer Assistance program supports existing farmers and helps aspiring farmers start their own farm through our GoFarm Incubator. We are headquartered in Golden, CO and conduct our food distribution markets throughout Jefferson County from June-October. Learn more about us at www.gofarmcoop.org.
