Company description Miriam's Kitchen's mission is to end veteran and chronic homelessness in DC.

We prepare healthy meals and provide high-quality social services to our guests experiencing homelessness.

During the pandemic, there have been some changes in how we serve but we are still providing critical support by preparing healthy restaurant-quality meals from fresh and whole ingredients along with housing support to individuals experiencing homelessness in DC.  Everyone deserves the dignity of a home.

The meals program creates a gateway to housing.  We prepare scratch-made meals for breakfast and dinner from diverse cultures and cuisines, using recovered food and local/seasonal ingredients.  We partner with local vendors and farmers' markets to recover food,  meats, and produce for our meals.  We make an effort to make as much in house as possible (hot sauce, salad dressings, desserts, etc.) to provide our guests with delicious and healthy food to help sustain and improve their health.
