We are looking for a talented individual to join and grow with our very tight family here at Tree House with the supportive position of HR Generalist. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative HR professional who is motivated by a high growth, fast changing environments. The HR Generalist will work closely with our Director of HR and leadership across the board to help with recruitment efforts, policy creation and maintenance, and employee relations. This person will execute on the images of the Tree House brand. This opportunity promises an invigorating and exciting environment where good work is done so we always look for flexibility and a sense of humor in addition to other valuable traits like intent, hard work, and good communication skills.

The position is FULL-TIME and will be based in Charlton, MA and will include workdays in our other facilities. 

 

As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Administer compensation and benefit administrative duties 
  • Coordinate employee onboarding with company leadership 
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation, conflict resolution, benefits, etc and resolve any  issues that may arise 
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management 
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Assist company leaders in organizing employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhance culture and morale efforts by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Promote Tree House’s efforts in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion by partnering with organizations and communities across the state and beyond 
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state and federal labor regulations across 
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities related to our HR efforts as needed
 

Applicant Requirements:

  • 2-4 years experience as an HR professional 
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of state and federal employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; ATS and HRIS systems (Workable + BambooHR experience a plus) 
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Experience in policy creation including creative perks and benefits
  • Aptitude in conflict resolution/mediation
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • You are self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with a focused and hard-working attitude
  • A quick learner who is able to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Ability to multitask and work coolly and professionally in time-sensitive situations
  • Must have good communication skills with the ability to both receive feedback and offer ideas 
  • You are not afraid to speak your mind 
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and/or pivot plans quickly in order to coordinate corrective actions needed 
  • Meticulous attention to detail
