Role
The Program Manager will play a central role in the management of programmatic activities in their home city's operations. The Program Manager works independently and collaboratively with Brighter Bites staff to plan, manage, and implement activities, including management of the ongoing evaluation of program components. The Program Manager will be the direct supervisor of Program Associates and Program Interns and reports to the city director.
Position Description
- Acts as the direct supervisor of part-time Program Associates and Program Interns, including scheduling, ensuring program implementation and administrative duties.
- Assists with the placement of produce orders and daily logistics/details of working with produce and transportation partners.
- Assists in leading team meetings and periodic all staff meetings as well as coordinating city-wide trainings (i.e. CATCH, Nutrition Education Orientations, etc.).
- Determines produce distribution schedule for each programming period.
- Manages process evaluation survey administration.
- Disseminates new initiatives and technologies and develop, implement, and manage program policies and procedures.
- Assists with placing produce orders and working with produce and transportation partners.
- Leads the management of three-years-off schools and works with program director to develop this component of the Brighter Bites program.
Requirements
- Desire and passion in working with a mission-driven organization.
- Strong people management skills with previous experience managing groups of
volunteers, interns, and/or part time staff.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nutrition, public health, or a related field.
- Minimum 18 months serving as programming staff for Brighter Bites preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Comfort reporting to multiple organizational stakeholders and collaborating across
departments and teams.
- Ability to adapt work style and behaviors to a variety of settings including office and
community partner sites.
- ServSafe certification, Human Subject Research (CITI) certification preferred.
- Spanish proficiency a plus.
