Job description

Rapidly growing New York City-based restaurant group seeks Assistant to support its very busy Chef/TV Personality Founder. To be a good fit, you will be thick-skinned, articulate, able to multi-task, and exceptionally organized. You will be able to switch gears quickly and efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be considerate and composed, despite any circumstances and pressure around you. You will possess the desire to master your environment and continually seek to manage issues efficiently before they become problems. You are an outstanding critical thinker.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for calendar management, answering emails, fielding calls, event coordination and liaison, travel planning and logistics, fulfilling select personal errands asked of you, and act as a liaison between various departments within the office. You will be the first point of contact for clients, partners, investors and vendors, and therefore your telephone and email etiquette, follow-through and ability to conduct yourself properly at all times will be impeccable.

Specific duties include:

  • Manage the founder’s schedule and calendar; including scheduling calls, meetings, press, video shoots, etc.
  • Coordinate domestic & international travel –handling flights, cars, lodging, restaurants, etc. (Confirm, Re-Confirm & Track).
  • Help prepare a variety of reports, presentations & other materials.
  • Compile and process all expense reports.
  • Handle a variety of projects across media, new and existing restaurants, and brand partners.
  • Tech savvy and is able to conduct zoom, record videos and audios on a laptop.
  • Help maintain social media presence.
  • Event coordination including on-site or virtual assistance for all events and shoots.
  • Receive, review and respond to emails and miscellaneous correspondence.
  • Run personal errands for the founder when asked.
  • Work closely with several PR agencies to coordinate press and appearances.

Specific qualifications include:

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • An upbeat, energetic, flexible & “Can-Do” attitude.
  • Be a proactive administrative "partner" who anticipates needs.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter able to function independently.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • College degree.
  • Ability to multi-task & accomplish numerous tasks and changing priorities effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Interest in food, travel, restaurants, art, media and social media helpful but not required.
  • One to two years’ relevant experience as an assistant required.

Looking for an immediate hire. This is a full-time position only.
