Company description Pigasus Meats is a diversified livestock farm located in South Hero, VT, focusing on pasture-based laying hens and pigs. We rotate our animals over our acreage using portable electric fencing and mobile housing. We strive to give our animals the best possible lives on our farm, all while caring for the soil ecology, natural wildlife, and ecosystems that we work with and within. We will be raising 2100 laying hens this year, in addition to finishing around 150-200 pigs. Our pasture based poultry and pork operation is growing and we are looking for a part-time egg washer and delivery driver to join our farm crew immediately. Hours and requirements are as follows:

Monday, Thursday: 6:45 AM - 5PM
Both of these days are primarily egg washing days, with general pig and laying hen chores as well.

Friday: 5:30 AM - finish (Anywhere from 11 AM - 2 PM depending on stops)
This route includes egg and pork deliveries to stops in Chittenden, Washington, Lamoille counties, as well as pick ups at our processor in Addison County.

Candidate must be at least 21, able to repeatedly lift 50lb. solo, have great customer service skills, and be efficient and timely with an attention to detail.
Compensation starts at $12/hr, with eggs and pork included. Chance for additional farm work if candidate is interested, as well as a transition to a full time position in March 2021
