Company description Colectivo Felix is a small, locally owned company dedicated to celebrating Latin American culture through food. Currently we are expanding our business to empanadas and home delivered meals. Once safe again we will restart private dinners, events, and larger scaled caterings. Colectivo Felix got its start in Buenos Aires, Argentina and now serves the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas based out of Santa Cruz, California. We feature locally
sourced, California bounty in our Latin American inspired menus, feeding anywhere from 1 to 150 guests at a time. Job description We are currently looking for a full-time kitchen assistant to work alongside the chef and execute Latin American inspired menus. You will work closely with owner and chef in a commercial kitchen setting using your passion for food and hospitality to not only create fantastic meals, but also to create a kitchen set up for learning, exploring and evolving. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Latin American food culture. This is a great match for those who like to work both in back and front of the house, as more opportunities to interact with guests will evolve as COVID restrictions ease. 

Basic Duties Include:
Food Preparation
Kitchen Cleaning
Loading and unloading of kitchen equipment, produce, etc (must be able to lift 40 lbs).

Qualifications:
Able to work independently 
Creative and curious
At least 3 years in a kitchen setting
Able to lift 40lbs
Spanish language a huge plus
