Treeline Cheese was founded in 2011 with the goal to develop a plant-based cheese as good as dairy cheeses. The brand was launched in specialty shops in New York City and we are now available in over 4,000 stores nationwide including Whole Foods, Kroger, Wegmans, and Sprouts. In addition to a successful product line, we have an established manufacturing plant, a good customer base, and a DTC business. We have ambitious plans to accelerate growth over the coming years.
We are looking for a part-time Social Media Consultant to create and execute a strategy for Treeline's social media platforms that is focused on telling our brand story and increasing followers and engagement.
Drive the strategy for Treeline’s social presence: Determine overall approach for Treeline’s social media channels. The strategy should identify which platforms to pursue and should include a plan for influencer marketing, paid media optimization (if relevant), and organic engagement best practices.
Engage & grow our social communities: Develop platform strategies and content plans that create community growth, and increase engagement and website traffic.
Define the Treeline voice and tone: In partnership with the Treeline team and external PR agency, create guidelines for how Treeline will communicate verbally and visually across social content.
Manage content calendars: Create and execute content calendars that are innovative and engaging. Be strategic in approach to post times, hashtags, ways to engage with followers, and types of content.
Lead content development: Conceptualize and lead the creation of compelling everyday and campaign social content that resonates with our audience. The content can be created by you and/or in combination with relevant influencers and content creators.
Community Management: Serve as community manager responding and engaging with social community on a daily basis to fuel conversation and multiply engagement.
Explore new territory: Ideate creative ways for Treeline to have a presence on channels that we're not currently active on, and identify how to leverage new features as creative opportunities.
Stay on top of trends: Be the day-to-day point person for all things social -- constantly monitoring what’s going on, what trends are developing, and where Treeline can have a voice.
Track, learn, optimize: Analyze and distribute reports on social media performance to the internal team and regularly make recommendations, updates, and improvements based on findings.
Influencer Marketing: Create a strategy for how influencers should be utilized to help grow the Treeline social presence. Provide guidance on who Treeline should be working with on both a paid and unpaid basis and manage all related communication, contracts, and content.
At least 5 years professional experience in social media management or a related marketing role for a brand that has an ecommerce focus.
Proven results building social following across a variety of channels and using social to drive growth
An understanding of how to engage a digital audience through words and creativity.
Proficiency in social media platforms and analytic tools.
Strong writing skills and communication skills.
Deep experience working in the food space with innovative, purpose-driven brands.
An ability to create photo content including recipes is preferred.
