Frog Hollow Farm is a certified organic family-owned and operated orchard located outside the San Francisco Bay Area in Brentwood, CA.  We are renowned in the Bay Area and beyond for our exceptionally delicious fruit and artisan food products. We are committed to regenerative agricultural production and are proud to make several tons of compost on our farm every year, foster pollinators and beneficial insects through habitat plantings, and hand prune and harvest each of our 60,000 trees with love. 


We sell direct to consumers via Certified Farmer’s Markets, in-house mail order, a Community Supported Agriculture program, and wholesale to other specialty food retailers and independent grocers.

Job description

We seek an enthusiastic and organized self-starter with a positive attitude to join our Community Supported Agriculture team as Marketing & Engagement Coordinator. You must be located in the Bay Area and be able to come to the farm 1- 2 days per week with work from home option available for the balance of days. 

 

Your role: 

As Marketing & Engagement Coordinator, you will wear many hats. Everyone on our small but mighty team contributes as needed to support the success of the program but you will have core responsibilities for which you have ownership. You bring design skills, are versed in Squarespace or a web CMS, have excellent oral and written communication, demonstrate skill and agility using Mailchimp or other web marketing platforms. You are detail-oriented, flexible, and bring ideas to the table that you are excited about executing. Must be able to create and work in spreadsheets.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Marketing and Direct Sales:

  • Create weekly product promotion campaigns for established members
  • Generate product marketing calendar 
  • Ideate initiatives to build membership and expand delivery locations
  • Leverage existing partnerships with Bay Area producers to expand program visibility and reach
  • Contribute to website updates
  • Utilize google business to increase SEO and garner exposure
  • Establish and maintain CSA identity on online platforms such as Nextdoor business and Local Harvest

CSA Member Engagement and Tracking:

  • Coordinate a weekly member e-newsletter
  • Engage and support our site hosts through monthly emails, generating and providing marketing assets and other communication as needed
  • Create site member maps using Google Maps as needed
  • Coordinate outreach opportunities with school and corporate partners via digital and in-person (when it is safe to do so again) 
  • Assist at three farm-based CSA member events per year (when events become possible again)
  • Draft and disseminate other member communications as needed 

Other responsibilities:

  • Work with our software rep to resolve issues
  • Assist with product and SKU creation
  • Assist in managing stock
  • Customer Service as needed
  • Other projects as assigned  

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated interest in sustainable agriculture and an outgoing and friendly nature with a go-getter attitude. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who will bring their ideas and enthusiasm to the table to help us grow our CSA.  Two plus years of experience in a coordinator level capacity preferred.  Must be organized, able to work autonomously, and detail-oriented with a willingness to be flexible with schedule and availability.  

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Google Docs & Maps

Agility in Squarespace

Well versed in Mailchimp or other online marketing platforms

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

Graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe, or other applications

Aptitude for learning new software applications

Additional Skills:
Social Media Savvy
Photography
 

Requirements:

  • This position requires reliable transportation other than public transportation
  • This position requires the ability to lift 14 -20 pounds
  • This position requires the employee to be a licensed driver with a safe driving record
  • This position requires occasional weekend work during the summer season and may require occasional early morning work or late evening work
  • If working remotely, this position requires a computer and telephone
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of one year

Conditions of Employment:

  • This is part-time hourly position starting at $22.00 per hour 
  • This position is between 20-25 hours a week
  • We are an essential business. The employee must work at the farm 1-2 days per week as requested and may work remotely for the balance of time.
