Compensation:
$12/hr + Weekly Veggie CSA Share, eggs, bread, mushrooms & fruit
For 2021, we will be looking for 2 team members to join BUG to work and experience all aspects of this small farming operation during our main growing season. You will be a part of everything on the farm from seeding, and planting, to weeding, harvesting, packing CSA shares, and running one of our weekly pick up sites for CSA members.
We are new & beginning farmers ourselves, and we look forward to working and learning together as a team in our daily tasks. We will establish specific learning goals at the beginning of the season, and provide you with opportunities to meet goals and learn about your specific interests throughout the season. We are committed to your personal growth, and we will check in with you throughout the season to ensure that your personal needs, and goals are being met.

Minimum Requirements:-Minimum of 1 full season of experience working a physical, outdoor job such as farming, landscaping, construction or trail work
-the ability to do physical work in extreme heat for a full day. If you have a history of heat exhaustion, or difficulty handling hot weather and staying hydrated, this position would not likely be a good fit.
-Must be 18 years old or older
-Must commit to working the entire season
-Must be responsible for your own housing and transportation
-Valid, and current drivers license. Driving vehicles (for deliveries, etc.) will be an aspect of your job duties in this role.
-A strong work ethic
-Good attention to detail and quality of work
-Must be able to do physical labor for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
-The ability to lift 50 lbs.
-Able to work in uncomfortable weather conditions (intense heat and cold) in uncomfortable body positions (squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing) for long periods of time
-Interested in learning about small-scale agriculture
-Ability to work collaboratively
-Must provide contact info for 2 references: 1 that can reference your work in agriculture, and 1 personal reference.
