Company description Sweetwater Kitchen is an organic farm-to-table restaurant near the town of Boulder, Utah four and a half hours south of Salt Lake City in a remote, beautiful area that mainly relies on tourism.

We believe in producing clean simple food using the best ingredients available, with a focus on sustainable land management and business practices. Our restaurant and gardens are located on the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch perched on Boulder Mountain overlooking the Escalante wilderness. We have a full-service restaurant and cater several weddings and events throughout the season. We provide housing for our staff here on property of the ranch. Job Description

Head server is the main contact with our guests. This person must offer the best customer service and adhere to our restaurant policies. Opening and closing the till, taking phone calls and checking voicemails, checking and organizing reservations and handling event details are also part of this role. Inventory, stock and orders may also be part of this role.

Anything besides serving, the head server receives an hourly wage of $15 per hour. For example, this wage can be applied to event catering and serving or doing auxiliary tasks like inventory or ordering.

Server will also be responsible to know the menu through and through and willing and able to up-sell items or specials. 

A passion for really good food made from scratch is a plus. 

There is room to grow within this restaurant and company, looking for someone who is adventurous and willing to experience life and a small, colorful town. 

Restaurant is open April - October with possible events late March or early November. 

Qualifications

-Experience serving at a restaurant for at least 2 years

-Self-started attitude, a desire to get things done without constant supervision

-Confidence in customer service

-Attention to detail

-Adaptable to change

-Punctuality

-Good hygiene and high standard of presentation

-Bartending experience

-Catering experience is a plus

-Stay cool under pressure

-Multi-task

-Utah Alcohol server training certificate

-Available to work from mid-March to the end of November.
