McEnroe Organic Farm is a NOFA-NY LLC certified organic farm producing compost and soils, organic and naturally raised meats, greenhouse tomatoes, seasonal produce and nursery transplants. Our soils and compost are approved for organic production, and since 1987 have been used by farmers, gardeners, and for landscaping projects, as well as green roof installations. A bio-diverse farm, we adhere to organic principles of caring for the soil and being stewards of the earth. With a year-round market, and education programs for visitors, we farm over 1,000 acres in Millerton, NY, in Northern Dutchess county.

Job description We are actively seeking a Sales & Marketing Associate to assist with wholesale sales logistics, and social media promotion of our farm market, soils, meats, and produce. The Sales & Marketing Associate will be responsible for providing account support to existing clients, and for growing our client base. To that end, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining efficient client tracking and support systems.

The Sales & Marketing Associate will interact with clients by telephone, e-mail, and in-person, and may represent the farm at conferences and trade shows. The Sales & Marketing Associate will also promote the McEnroe brand on social media, by developing and promoting social media content designed to engage and grow McEnroe’s online audiences. To this end, the Sales & Marketing Associate will collaborate with all farm managers to create new content and develop effective campaigns. The Sales & Marketing Associate will also collect and review data on social media performance to identify the most effective strategies. The Sales Associate will interact with a diverse group of internal and external clients. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload to ensure highest value and best services are provided. The successful candidate will be professional and outgoing, and will possess strong attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position include:
• Communicate regularly with clients, including traveling to client locations (post-covid-19)
• Work with senior management to build a social media strategy by researching successful methods, identifying and organizing various audiences, and clarifying messaging
• Work with farm staff to create engaging and informative social media content
• Monitor the farm’s social media accounts and coordinate with farm managers to maintain online relations with customers and partners
• Use company software programs to maintain sales records and prepare reports
• Work with senior management to set budgets and anticipate inventory needs
• Assist with development of sales routing and delivery logistics
• Work with senior management to develop sales strategies
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

The successful candidate will present with the following professional experience and qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
• Effective oral and written communication required
• High attention to detail and managing execution
• Proven working experience in social media marketing & promotion
• Photo, video & text editing skills
• One to three years of sales experience preferred
• Basic knowledge/familiarity with organic farming
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel
• Ability to set priorities and maintain functional work environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
