Local Artisan Bakery offers handcrafted baked goods, coffee & tea, and local gifts. We celebrate the art of baking with local Hudson Valley ingredients and feature new flavors every week. Our store is also home to the Local Artisan Gift Collective – a curated collection of handmade gifts by local Hudson Valley artisans. Visit our bakery on Broadway in Midtown Kingston for cupcakes, cookies, quiche, scones, and our famous fudge brownies.

The Market Manager is responsible for representing Local Artisan Bakery on-location at farmer’s markets and events. This position will require transporting booth materials to and from the event site, setting up the booth, and selling baked goods throughout the event. This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week.

Job duties include:

• Transporting booth supplies and products to-and-from the bakery to the event site
• Setting up and tearing down the booth on-site
• Handling cash and selling baked goods
• Providing excellent customer service
• Following safe food handling practices
• Other duties, as assigned

Schedule:

• Wednesdays – 1:00pm-8:00pm
• Saturdays (every other) – 7:30am-2:30pm
• Sundays – 8:30am-3:30pm
• Additional hours may be available for special events

Requirements:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Prior retail experience (or similar position)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• An understanding of safe food handling practices (or willingness to learn)
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work weekends
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Reliable transportation – a personal vehicle is REQUIRED to transport booth supplies

Pay:

• $15 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement
