Tiny Organics is hiring our first Facilities Manager who will be critical to supporting the company’s in-house manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the COO, you will work closely with the operations, QA/QC, and product development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase and inventory all maintenance equipment and supplies, including tools, parts, chemicals, cleaning supplies, PPE
- Ensure facility is kept clean and organized and is in safe working condition for employees
- Implement and execute equipment upgrades and improvements as needed
- Own all sanitization procedures and schedules for facility
- Develop and maintain operating and cleaning procedures for all equipment in the facility
- Coordinate regular cleaning, repair, and maintenance of facility with minimal disruption of production time
- Ensure safe work behaviors are being followed by everyone in the facility at all times
- Ensure facility is in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Schedule all transportation of materials inbound and outbound of facility
- Complete incident investigations for any accidents or property loss
- Be on call for in-person emergency maintenance as needed, which may include weekends, holidays, and severe weather events
Requirements
- 2-5 years technical facilities experience in a food production environment
- Familiarity with food safety best practices and chemical safety handling
- Basic repairs and maintenance knowledge (electrical, mechanical, plumbing)
- Understanding of inventory management and warehouse management systems
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
- High degree of analysis, problem solving, and creativity
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
