The Spence School, founded in 1892, is an independent school for girls and young women with an enrollment of 720 students in Grades K – 12. We are seeking a sandwich and prep cook at our middle/upper school campus.

Position: Part Time or Full Time Prep Cook

Salary: $15-$20

Hours: 7am-3pm Monday-Friday

Location: Upper East Side

Timing: April 29-June 11

Responsibilities

Making sandwiches, daily prep for salad bar and hot food, packing prepared meals

 Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) kitchen experience, preferably at a salad station or as prep cook
• Knowledge of food service preparation rules - ServSafe or Food Handler's license a plus
• Excellent knife skills
• High School Diploma
• Excellent oral communication skills
• A proven track record of providing excellent customer service and hospitality; experience with kids a plus
• A collaborative spirit and strong team ethic
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

This full-time position reports to the Location Manager at our Upper School campus.
