Our mission is to offer our unique style of handmade bagels in a quick service environment. We strive to contribute something positive to our neighborhood and enrich the lives of our neighbors, offering quality foods made from scratch.  

 

Philly Style Bagels is a bagel style that uses beer in the boil, which is unique to our process. In addition to our use of beer, our bagels are known for their long fermentation, double sided seeding, and crunchy crust from baking in a stone lined oven. We also use only high quality natural ingredients.

Our goal is to provide an exceptional bagel and friendly service to match with each and every customer.

 

The environment and the health of our planet is important to us, which is why we compost and use eco-friendly products. We expect that you will join us as we try our best to minimize wasted packaging, food waste, and recycle as much as possible. 

 

We donate extra bagels and products to local food shelters.

Job description Part Time or Full Time Position

Baking Shifts start in the late evening and go into the early morning
 

Location:  218 Arch Street 19106

 

Position Summary

Seeking passionate people with a positive, team-oriented attitude for high-volume production of quality hand made bagels. Starting wage $15-20/hr.

 

Required Experience

• 2 years of bakery experience is ideal
• 2 years restaurant experience is required 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Daily tasks range from portioning dough, rolling bagels, boiling bagels, seeding bagels, working the oven, maintaining a clean work space throughout the day, and breaking down, cleaning, and setting up for the next day at the end of each bake session.

 

Candidates must be available to work overnight, early mornings, weekends and holidays

Able to lift 50+ lbs

Capable of working on their feet for 8 hours

Legal to work in the United states

Employees are required to wear masks for the duration of their work shifts and comply with other policies for protection against COVID-19.

Compensation

Starting wage $15-20/hr. plus tips 

ServSafe certification is a huge plus!
