Retail and Events Staff Small Batch Kitchen
- Date Posted April 20, 2021
- Location Lansdale, PA
- Category Business / Media
- Job type Summer Job
We source produce from local farms, enjoy creating healthy and gourmet recipes, and do everything with the highest quality in mind.
We are looking for someone to join our team as a retail and events salesperson.
The right candidate:
- Loves food:
We want someone who loves to try new recipes and new flavors and someone who loves to trade recipe ideas and suggestions with customers.
- Loves farmers and farmer's markets:
We need someone who loves working with farmers! You'll be setting up tents at farmers markets in our area and we want someone who is excited to be there.
- Loves working outdoors:
A huge part of this position will be attending off-site markets and events, which are held rain or shine. The person joining our team for this position doesn't mind putting on their rain boots to attend a market or two.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit:
You'll be in charge of setting up at markets, learning the customer desires at the market, and working to make sure our brand resonates with the customers at the markets you attend. There is a commission incentive as part of the compensation package - so someone who can adapt to unique conditions and think on their feet is going to be perfect for this job.
- Friendly
This is a customer facing position, so we need someone who is friendly. Plus, you'll be working with other members of our SBK team and we want to work with someone who likes to laugh!
- Saturday Availability
Most of our farmer's markets and other events are scheduled for Saturdays, so we need someone with Saturday availability. For the right person, weekday and Sunday hours will also be available, but Saturday's are a MUST.
This is the perfect job for a student or teacher looking for a summer job, or for someone who wants to pick up a very part-time job for the rest of the year.
There is the potential for prep work or work as a cashier in our market during the week. This position could be for as little as 6 hours (just a Saturday Famer's Market) to as much as 25-30 hours/week.
For the right person, this could turn into a full-time, year round position.
